Sheraton San Jose Hotel, Costa Rica

Amazing and comfortable rooms, good breakfast options. Club room breakfast options are nearly identical to the main breakfast.

The staff, lobby, free breakfast and bottled water. The food (room service) was incredible that we didn't want to eat out. The breakfast was a full buffet (omlettes made to order) and the lobby lounge had great beverages at a good price.

The staff at the reception desk were very accommodating and very helpful with advising where to get COVID tests (for return travel) as well as printing our documents. The room was great- large and very clean with a comfortable bed. The wi-fi was great and fast. The hotel is located in a central location close to a mall as well as a plethora of restaurants and shops. The breakfast was superb. It was tasty while there was a good variety of both Costa Rican and continental foods to try from.

Everything was excellent, but there was one thing that I put in the category of going beyond the call of duty. We had a very short one night stay and were supposed to catch a ride to the airport the next morning at 5am, meaning that we were leaving before breakfast time. I mentioned that to the staff upon checking in and they kindly prepared boxes of breakfast to go for the 6 of us. As we came down to catch our ride the next morning, they were ready with a box of perfect choices of sandwich, fruit, and yogurt plus fruit juice. Truly phenomenal how caring the staff was!

Lots of dining options/good food, casino in the hotel, a nice gym and upper level pool, very good pricing compared to what one would pay in US or Canada.
